Dual Carving Knife...

Every once in a while a tool comes along that is so well designed that it's a pleasure to own. ..this one also happens to be a pleasure to use! The blades take and hold a razor edge, and the cushion grip is just the right size.

The idea is simple: design a carving knife with two different blades that can be closed and carried safely in your pocket. Sound like the description of a pocket knife? Actually it does, except that this Dual Carving Knife features blades that are designed for general and detail carving, and this one can't close down on your fingers.

As shown here, the curved blade is locked in place, the straight blade sits alongside so you can see it. Normally only the blade being used is exposed. The other one would be safely tucked away inside the handle.

The blades are secured with the locking rings. Closed, all that shows at the ends is about 1/4" of the blade holder (the slotted end seen above). One counterclockwise turn of the locking ring and the blade can be pulled free, reversed, set back into the socket and locked with a clockwise turn of the ring. It's a great design, simple and effective, and virtually indestructible.
